I did think May’s goal was outstanding, but I felt Pijnaker was the difference maker. Hopefully May can score more regularly.

Classy imports and super subs: A-League players who were the difference in Round 15

Too many players go overseas too soon or have bad luck with the wrong coach etc and end up coming back to the A-League or get lost to the system. On a side note I wonder why Burgess isn’t in the squad for Sydney FC and whether he’ll find another team in the A-League; it would be a shame to see his talent wasted.

Some interesting observations, El Futbolero.

Hopefully Bernardo stays injury free.

Taggart, Milanovic, Waddingham: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 6

Interested in whether you think Hollman should be in the Socceroos squad.

Taggart, Milanovic, Waddingham: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 6

Good point; Milanovic and Waddingham need to come into the squad for Duke and Boyle.

Taggart, Milanovic, Waddingham: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 6

Thanks Grem. You’re correct; Ouahim looked more threatning off the bench. It’s a pity Kucharski can’t get more game time and Burgess didn’t play at all, but they got the result and that’s football.

Classy imports, hungry youngsters: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 5

I thought Burgess found pockets of space and worked his guts out in the second half, until he was subbed off and Caceres was good, but ultimately the goal from Wood made the difference.

Socceroos hopefuls, wily veterans: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 4

Thanks Grem.

Thanks Midfielder.

Long-range stunners, late match-winners and remaining unbeaten: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 3

I’d like to see Edmondson start more than he did last season and Kuol be more of an impact player. Great to see Piscopo doing well under PK, just needs to stay injury free.

Dominant CBs, classy CAM: The A-League players who were the difference in Round 2

Thanks Laurie, yes you are reading the Grand Final tipping leaderboard correctly. I just went with my gut feel!

Almost All-Australian: A team of everyone who missed out on the 2024 AA squad is still pretty damn good

Alex Pearce only played 15 games so he was ineligable. With regards to Meek, I couldn’t leave Marshall out of the team.

Almost All-Australian: A team of everyone who missed out on the 2024 AA squad is still pretty damn good

I think Francis deserves to be in the best 22.

Questions to ponder ahead of Round 21: Can Swans stop slump, Will Jamarra stay hot and is Mabior Chol in career-best form?
