He is a class act. No doubt he’ll make the right choice. Thanks for the reply
'Too much respect for Joe': Kiss commits to Queensland as Wallabies coaching circus continues
He seems like an outstanding bloke in every respect. It’s just an honest question I was asking. I’m not really advocating one way or another.
He has a pretty high level job that few could get. Obviously a lot of people do move their family internationally because of their jobs.

I live in France. It’s actually the normal term here. I have lost track of what is and isn’t in English.

The part I don’t quite get with the spending time with family bit for Joe is why not have them come and live with him in Oz wherever he is based? Do they all have to live in NZ? I understand he has a handicapped kid but presumably he makes enough that he could pay for good care in Oz.

I see the only way forward as making top level Oz Club rugby, whether it be Super or something else, a brief off-season comp to complement SH tests, run in July and August only. That way they can all earn their big bucks -September-June.
'Opportunities everywhere': McReight's warning for RA to get serious as Wallabies gun targets big Super season
I have to admit I probably did let some of those comments go though too.
'Grateful' Beale signs fresh deal with Force as Wallabies veteran makes late bid to take on Lions
I like him a lot and can see him coming back better for 2027.

I sometimes think of spouting out my general opinion even when I didn’t watch it too.

I saw the photo and thought it was Kaliea. Gleeson has been okay and has potential but short term I would be a lot more disappointed of Kaliea were out of the picture.
Exclusive: Wallaby dropped by Schmidt for first camp of 2025 after signing with overseas club
It is disappointing that he goes and signs overseas when Joe has kept picking him when he’s far from a shoe-in. I think it would have been a mistake for Joe not to react.

I was impressed with Frost’s increased grittiness this year but I don’t know that he has a further level still. Who else could you see the most improvement coming from?
Richie Mo'unga to the Wallabies, Fraser McReight to the Boks: The two rivals who would strengthen every Test team
PSDT third?
Richie Mo'unga to the Wallabies, Fraser McReight to the Boks: The two rivals who would strengthen every Test team
Penaud would run second for mine. Can also make something out of nothing but not as explosively/suddenly and his overall workrate and defence isn’t as outstanding. He’s my 2 but there’s a fair gap between 1 and 2.
Richie Mo'unga to the Wallabies, Fraser McReight to the Boks: The two rivals who would strengthen every Test team
I envisaged a fairly similar idea a while back but with trades. Good as he is individually, Marcus Smith doesn’t seem to fit in how England play but he would be fantastic, ideal for the Wallabies. Swap him for Will Skelton if age weren’t a factor. He’d be the second coming for the Poms, the way they play.
In a more like for like Gary Ringrose swapping for Reiko Ioane would make some sense too. And they love Reiko in Ireland. Ireland could put him on the wing and he’d kill it. While NZ need a true 13
And Tuisova to France in exchange for Marchand (who I still think is better than Mauvaka but France don’t need him so much as they need a strong centre cause Danty has slipped a fair way and Moeafana is not test standard IMO. Marchand would be huge for lifting that pack I’m Fiji.

Rubbish. Lost by 3 points or less to Ireland and France. Picked a B team against Italy and nearly won that.
Joe Schmidt has shown the way forward in 2024 and a Lions triumph is possible - this is how he can do it
That series against England in 2022: We won one of three and were in it for the other two, one of which we had about 4 guys go off injured in. It was only the test in London that they were clearly much better in.

Harry suggested the Scottish props as the Lions likely options at one point not long back and that may be the best option but it’s not that intimidating. Furlong is still good but I don’t rate Porter much at all and the English frontrow is just solid.

We give away far fewer penalties now, or at least it seems that way (haven’t checked the numbers) and our ball retention is better. Rennie had an all-time rough trot with injuries though, at some stages at least.

My theory is that he was Michael Hooper. Bow that he has retired from rugby he has retired from trolling too.
At the same time he was spot on about some stuff. The broken clock I’m aspiring to be.
The 20 biggest stories in Australian rugby this year - but is a bigger one still about to drop?
Great article. Great to hear about who to keep an eye on.
Prospecting for gold: Who stands out in Australia's next generation of front-rowers?
Gotta keep him in the picture, ideally have him part of the committee that picks his successor, hopefully later rather than sooner
Schmidt's old right-hand man emerges as favourite to take over Wallabies if Kiwi calls time after Lions
Don’t you think there’s a massive dropoff after AAA and TT? Same on the other side though.
Reds sign Aussie-born All Blacks prop - and he could be a Wallabies bolter to play the Lions
True for the Wallabies too against the Lions. Him being at his best is still the key to our chances. Referees not allowing opposing LHs to muck about on their feed every time too is.

I haven’t been taking notes but I haven’t felt like he has been evasive either. They are in a genuinely tough spot.
